I typically introduced coding use some Scratch activities, and while it allowed some creative outlets and students enjoyed the experience; something was missing.\r\n\r\nThe MicroBits have so much more to offer all while still using the fundamentals of coding and easy to understand block style coding. The interactive nature of the devices are fascinating. I had students making LED name badges, creating shakable dice displays using the built in accelerometer in conjunction with the LED displays, and I even had some students add dynamic sounds upon each roll.\r\n\r\nThe hands on, interactive options, bring this code to life! Students were constantly smiling and wanting to do more. It filled my heart to see such a profound impact on Day 1.
