The math blocks, magnets, sorting games, and connecting cubes along with all the other tools I received have given my students new and exciting ways to explore mathematical concepts. Instead of simply seeing numbers and equations on a worksheet, students can now build, sort, count, compare, and physically demonstrate their mathematical thinking.\r\n\r\nMy students especially enjoy using the cubes and math blocks to practice counting, addition, subtraction, place value, and building numbers. The magnets and sorting games give them opportunities to recognize patterns, group objects, and explain why items belong together. These materials have been wonderful for students who learn best by touching, moving, and seeing what they are learning. I have seen students become more engaged and willing to keep trying when they can use manipulatives to help make a challenging math problem feel more manageable.\r\n\r\nThese materials are more than just fun classroom supplies-they are helping my students make meaningful connections and understand that math is something they can do, build, explore, and succeed at.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and gibing them the opportunity to learn math in such a hands-on and engaging way.","fullyFundedDate":1788202032280,"projectUrl":"project/starting-strong-equipping-kids-for-succ/10530454/","projectTitle":"Starting Strong: Equipping Kids for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hamilton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3828387"},{"teacherId":10479763,"projectId":10668369,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. I often had to hunt down multiple copies of books from other classrooms or student's had to share. \r\nAll of these books are available if students want to read them on their own. At least half of my class is so excited for the Magic Tree House books. It is a great read for lower level readers. Another hit is Frindle.
