My students are very grateful to have the flexible seating/standing options available to them. When the boxes started arriving, there was excitement in the air, especially once the students realized the chairs and standing desk were for their use. The students did not know about the DonorsChoose project ahead of time. \r\n\r\n One student, who regularly used an old rolling chair, offered to assemble the new blue rolling chair, and now he uses that one instead. He is quite tall and with the chair's height adjustment working, he can finally set it to a comfortable height. He and other students have said that they find it easier to focus when using the rolling chairs or wobble chair; it truly is a matter of being comfortable, which in a math classroom, is especially important. \r\n\r\n While the standing desk gets less usage than the chairs, the sturdy working surface and ability to set the height correctly have made a significant impact when it is used. The student using it can write while comfortably standing. My apologies for not sending pictures with students using the materials, and not including a picture of the standing desk setup in the back of the room. I took pictures right before heading out for vacation. In case you are wondering why there aren't two blue chairs, I had to order a different rolling chair (the gray one seen in the pictures) due to availability issues. \r\n\r\n Thank you so much for investing in my classroom and students' success!","fullyFundedDate":1768482666032,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seatingstanding-options-for-fo/9954739/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating/standing Options for Focus in Math class.","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hayden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10381456"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_65777","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1048,"numTeachers":93,"percentFrplEligible":31,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":90,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"11.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":81.4,"schoolId":65777,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bonny Eagle High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bonny Eagle High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maine/rsu-6-msad-6/bonny-eagle-high-school/65777"}
