The ribbons, in particular, have provided a powerful sensory tool that doesn't require talking, allowing students to really sink into their bodies and relax.\r\n\r\nToday, we had a lot of partner work that led to some disagreements and tension. To reset, we took a break, dimmed the lights, and gave each student a ribbon. I led them through a simple, calming activity: I made quick statements like \"I enjoy winter\" or \"pineapple on pizza,\" and students would shake their ribbons if they agreed. If they didn't resonate with the statement, they simply did nothing.\r\n\r\nThe statements were intentionally short and light, so students didn't have to process too much. This allowed them to stay present in their bodies and focus on responding instinctively. It was a gentle, nonverbal way to reconnect, regulate, and reset the group energy.","fullyFundedDate":1755146433780,"projectUrl":"project/regulated-classroom/9511188/","projectTitle":"Regulated Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Masse","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8470677_orig.jpg?crop=1206,1205,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1653266567171","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8470677"},{"teacherId":9529072,"projectId":9334137,"letterContent":"Thanks to this project our class has received access to materials to help us learn about the environment.
