It has allowed students to produce designs that we couldn't have in the past. For example, on our older printer, we tried printing a design that failed 8 times in a row and took 18 hours to print--this wasted time and plastic. With the new printer, it printed the same design the first time and in only 7 hours!\r\n\r\nThis printer will make a huge difference in our learning and my teaching. With the speed and complexity of this printer, we can do more 3D print design projects for larger classes and more frequently instead of just once a semester. This printer also allows us to print objects more easily in multiple colors. Headphones allow students to focus on learning without distractions, which is especially important during listening activities, independent reading, and writing tasks. Students can listen to audiobooks while following along with the text, replay directions when needed, and access instructional videos at their own pace. This supports different learning styles and helps students better understand the material without feeling rushed or left behind.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is having their own set of headphones. It gives them a sense of independence and responsibility, and it makes learning feel more personalized. They enjoy being able to control the volume, pause and rewind audio, and fully immerse themselves in stories, lessons, or vocabulary practice. Many students have told me they feel more confident participating in class because they can first listen and process information privately.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from the headphones. Students who struggle with reading are more engaged when they can listen to audiobooks while reading along, improving both comprehension and confidence. English language learners benefit from hearing correct pronunciation and being able to replay content as needed. Students who are easily distracted are able to stay focused for longer periods of time. Most importantly, they're finding connections between the characters' experiences and their own lives, which makes reading feel more meaningful and personal.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading looks like lively conversations, lots of questions, and plenty of \"aha!\" moments. Students share predictions, debate character choices, and sometimes even act out scenes to understand them better. It's wonderful to see them building both academic skills and empathy as they imagine what it's like to be in someone else's shoes.\r\n\r\nSome of my most reluctant readers have surprised me the most. They're leaning in during discussions, eager to figure out what comes next in the story, and even volunteering to read aloud when they never used to.
