I submitted a second project based on the kinds of books my students liked once I began to get to know them. For example, because students were loving Amulet, I requested a set of Bone. I also asked for It Ends with Us and its sequel since so many of my students love Colleen Hoover. I requested the Wings of Fire books specifically for one student who LOVES that series and the Who is biographies for one class in particular that love easy non-fiction. \r\n\r\nHaving these texts readily available in my classroom allows students to comfortably find books that appeal to them and dive right into reading.They soon discover that with daily reading time, they can complete series and even progress to more complex texts.\r\n\r\nYour support in providing these books will make a significant difference in re-engaging my students with reading.
