By doing in depth character and setting analysis, they've realized how people from different worlds are very similar. They've been able to relate to how the characters are treated in school and at home. This connection has brought about learning and the enjoyment of reading. My students can't wait to read the next chapter each day. It has caused excitement and much discussion.\r\n\r\nI'm so appreciative to you for your dedication in helping fund this project for my students. It's through your support that I've been able to engage my students in learning. One of the girls in my class told me her twin sister hated to read, but that she was really into this book. It's through people like you that I'm able to bring real world experiences into the classroom.
