Many of my fourth graders learn best by seeing, exploring, and interacting with concepts rather than only reading about them. Thanks to your support, they are able to investigate scientific phenomena through interactive simulations, ask questions, test ideas, and immediately see the results of their thinking. These experiences have helped make abstract science concepts more meaningful while encouraging curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in my classroom has been incredible. Students who were once hesitant to participate are now eager to volunteer, share their observations, and work together to solve problems. My English language learners and students with disabilities have especially benefited from the visual and hands-on nature of these resources. The technology allows them to engage with grade-level science content in ways that build both their confidence and understanding. It has been wonderful to watch students who once struggled become active participants in discussions and investigations.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and investing in their future. Your generosity has provided more than technology—it has created opportunities for discovery, perseverance, and excitement about learning. Every time my students investigate, collaborate, and celebrate a new understanding, they are benefiting from your kindness. We are truly grateful for your support and for helping make science an engaging, meaningful experience for every child in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1781724155982,"projectUrl":"project/powering-up-70-scientists-hands-on-ene/10298077/","projectTitle":"Powering Up 70+ Scientists: Hands-On Energy and CER Mastery","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Allyson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9570766_orig.png?crop=475,475,x16,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1779225250937","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9570766"},{"teacherId":9259893,"projectId":8395007,"letterContent":"Within my classroom, I was able to provide my students with flexible seating options that gave them a chance to learn in an environment where they felt comfortable and successful. During our morning time, I intentionally used this opportunity to sit with small groups of students, allowing me to check in with them, provide extra support, and build stronger relationships. These small group conversations gave me a better understanding of each student's needs while also creating a relaxed setting where they felt comfortable asking questions and participating.\r\n\r\nTo make sure every student had an equal opportunity to enjoy the flexible seating, I created a daily rotation schedule. Each day, a different group of students had the chance to use the flexible seating options, making it something everyone could look forward to. I noticed that students were more engaged during instruction, worked well together, and took pride in earning their turn. Overall, incorporating flexible seating into my classroom helped create a positive learning environment while giving me meaningful opportunities to work more closely with my students each day.","fullyFundedDate":1723737771841,"projectUrl":"project/optional-seating-in-the-classroom/8395007/","projectTitle":"Optional Seating in the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Molinere","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9259893_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x269,y266&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1784043883389","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9259893"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_17219","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":404,"numTeachers":14,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":31,"percentWhite":16,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":42,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":6,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"28.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":17219,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Village East School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Village East School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/louisiana/terrebonne-parish-school-district/village-east-school/17219"}
