Your generosity has helped create an opportunity for students to explore a new creative skill, build confidence, and discover the joy of making something with their own hands. The materials and resources provided have made it possible for students to learn crochet in a welcoming, hands-on environment where creativity, patience, and individuality are encouraged. The excitement of having the opportunity to work with yarn, learn new techniques, and turn simple materials into something meaningful has made this experience especially rewarding.\r\n\r\nOur students are learning more than just how to crochet. They are developing fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, patience, and perseverance while practicing the importance of following directions and learning from mistakes. One of the most rewarding parts of this experience is watching students encourage one another, share ideas, and celebrate each other's progress. Whether they are learning their first chain stitch or working toward completing their first project, every accomplishment helps build their confidence and reminds them that they are capable of creating something amazing.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we hope to expand students' skills by introducing more advanced crochet techniques and allowing them to create individual projects such as scarves, bags, accessories, and other handmade pieces. We also look forward to opportunities for students to showcase their work and share their creativity with the school community. Your contribution has helped make these opportunities possible, and we are truly grateful for your investment in our students, their creativity, and their growth. Your generosity has allowed me to provide my students with an entertaining, lighthearted story at their reading level in Spanish.\r\n\r\nIt is actually quite difficult to obtain engaging, challenging reading materials for language learners at the novice level. As new Spanish speakers, their vocabulary and grammar is quite limited. This book will give them a challenging, long-form text that will make them want to read and know what's happening next. Such materials are rare to find. \r\n\r\nI will group students in pairs or groups of three, and they will take turns reading aloud and working together to comprehend the text. One moment that stood out to me was during a lesson when a student who usually struggles to stay focused was able to sit, eat a small snack, and fully engage in the activity without shutting down or becoming distracted. It may seem like a small thing, but it truly changed how they showed up in that moment.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited and grateful. Some of them immediately reached for the stress balls, and you could see their bodies relax almost instantly. Others were just relieved to know that if they were hungry, they had something available. It created a sense of comfort in the room that we didn't have before.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these resources are becoming a natural part of our daily routine. Students are learning how to recognize when they need a quick snack or when they need to calm themselves and refocus using a stress ball. As we continue working through our lessons, especially during more challenging activities, they now have tools to help them stay present and engaged.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my classroom is becoming a space where students feel cared for, supported, and ready to learn.
