The resources are used daily as we move about the school and community to support speech and language development. My cart is backed full of resources that are used when I travel to daycares, and make having access to colors, markers, stickers, pens, and games quick and easy. Students know something fun is always in the cart. This makes therapy a treat rather than a task to be completed. \r\n\r\nI love having a clock that I can see across all areas of my classroom. It keeps me moving, on tract, and not having to look for my phone or computer to tell the time. It helps the kids know that our time is counting down for the end of sessions too.\r\n\r\nI do believe though one of the most impactful necessities was the Command Strips. I used them to hang communication buttons in all areas of the school. Students are using the buttons in real and impactful situations. It also gives access across school environments and allows for peers to model the use of communication in all forms. I am forever thankful that I get to spread all types of communication for all to use and see. We are using the books daily and have increased the interest in looking at books. By doing this, we are increasing our youngest students' interest in literacy and learning. \r\n\r\nWe have made the books interactive and the students have increased their attention towards completing an entire book. This has helped the students gain more vocabulary, listening comprehension skills, and attention to longer tasks. We are grateful to have books that lean into our youngest students' specific interest and attention grabbers. \r\n\r\nBy donating to this project, you have books readily available to them across settings. These books are sturdy and able to be well loved.
