This school is a 3rd-5th grade center. We serve students from many diverse backgrounds. The teachers work together to make each sure each child succeeds. Many of my students who attend speech are thirsty to know things but have difficulty doing so in the traditional way. They come to me to learn skills and techniques to help them grow in their regular classroom. My students may not succeed in their classrooms without support. Often times, their ability to understand and express language is delayed. They have difficulty organizing their thoughts and using their knowledge in an effective way. They want to do well but need that extra push. We are learning through play, music, technology, and books. Speech therapy helps the students gain skills they need to succeed in the classroom and in life.
