With a calculator for every student, my class can now practice real-world financial skills, such as budgeting, comparing loans, calculating interest, and working through percentages for taxes, discounts, and tips. Previously, students had to share devices, which limited practice time. Now every student works at their own pace, and engagement and deeper questioning have increased.\r\n\r\nYour donation has also made hands-on financial simulations possible. Students create monthly budgets based on realistic scenarios and analyze how compound interest affects savings and debt. These activities move us beyond worksheets and lectures into interactive problem-solving. Your support gives my students, many from low-income backgrounds, access to the same quality resources as peers in more affluent districts.
