Many of my students lack basic operation skills needed to be successful on simple mathematical computations. Several of these same students have accommodations which allow calculator use but don't have the means to obtain a calculator on their own and the school lacks funds to purchase them. In order for my students to be successful not only in the classroom, but outside in the real-world as well, my students are in need of calculators. Allowing these students to not worry about everyday calculations, will allow this amazing group of individuals to grasp mathematical concepts instead of focusing on basic math skills that should have been obtained at a lower level. My students are in need of a calculators on a daily basis so that they can calculate to success!
