When the supplies first arrived, my students could hardly contain their excitement. They crowded around to help unpack the enclosure, eagerly asking questions about where Ember would sleep, what she would eat, and how we could keep her comfortable. It was such a joy to see their faces light up as they realized they were creating a real home for their new class pet.\r\n\r\nSince then, the students have taken on the responsibility of learning how to care for Ember. They've started field journals where they record observations about her behavior, diet, and environment. This has sparked wonderful discussions about habitats, adaptation, and what living things need to survive- PERFECT tie to our animal research unit! We will continue tying Ember's needs and habitat to our animal classification content moving forward in the unit.\r\n\r\nYour support has given us more than just supplies—it has created meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities that my students will remember for years to come.
