The beanbag chairs have provided students with comfortable and flexible seating, allowing them to engage in group discussions and independent reading with greater focus and ease. The phonics games, which focus on spelling patterns and word-building, have been a hit during our small group activities. One specific moment that stands out is when students played a game where they had to build words from letter tiles based on different phonetic rules. They worked together to identify patterns, spell words correctly, and then used those words in short sentences. It was amazing to see how much they enjoyed the challenge, and they were so proud of their spelling improvements as a result. The phonics activities have truly made learning to spell both fun and interactive.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the beanbag chairs and phonics games, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. They were thrilled by the chance to try out the new resources and couldn't wait to dive into the activities. Many of them immediately found their favorite spot on a beanbag, eager to relax and start learning in a new way. Moving forward, we will continue using these resources to reinforce spelling and phonics skills. Currently, students are working on a project where they'll play a series of phonics games to improve their spelling accuracy, and then write and present a story using the words they've learned. The beanbags and games have created a more engaging and supportive learning environment, and I'm excited to see how these tools will help students continue building their literacy skills with even more enthusiasm and confidence.","fullyFundedDate":1733369667422,"projectUrl":"project/help-make-our-classroom-more-comfortable/8699821/","projectTitle":"Help Make Our Classroom More Comfortable!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Dambrosio","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9602071"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_18633","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":338,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":95,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"21.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":37.1,"schoolId":18633,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Park Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Park Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/louisiana/east-baton-rouge-parish-public-schools/park-elementary-school/18633"}
