The items create a natural warmth, comfort and inviting atmosphere. The decorated space fosters a sense of belonging and encouragement. \r\n\r\nThe students sit on the rug together and engage in peer discussions and other interactive learning experiences that enhance their social and cognitive development. Other students sit on the rug and literally rub it to feel the softness on their hands. While I anticipated the comfort it would yield, I never imagined that students would use it to soothe. \r\n\r\nOn one occasion, a student presented appearing exhausted and frustrated. He explained that his twin infant siblings disturbed his sleep \"all night.\" I allowed him to take a brief nap on the rug to reset. I also assured him that one day, the twins will sleep throughout the night.
