These materials have already made a noticeable difference in how smoothly our classroom runs each day. We are using the automatic hole punch and stapler constantly to organize notes, labs, and handouts, which saves valuable instructional time and allows students to stay focused on learning. The high-quality scissors are being used during labs, modeling activities, and interactive lessons, while the whiteboard erasers have made student participation at the boards much more efficient.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies arrived, my students were excited and eager to start using them. Several commented on how much easier it was to keep their work neat and organized, and they loved having tools that actually work well. Because of your generosity, we can spend more time learning and less time dealing with worn-out materials. As we continue our current lessons, students are using these supplies daily to stay organized, collaborate, and actively engage in hands-on science learning. Thank you for giving my students the tools they need to be successful.","fullyFundedDate":1762267576249,"projectUrl":"project/equipped-to-learn-basic-tools-for-an-or/9532316/","projectTitle":"Equipped to Learn: Basic Tools for an Organized Science Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mayeaux-Carter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7927078_orig.jpg?crop=1536,1536,x0,y81&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741629742452","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7927078"},{"teacherId":7927078,"projectId":9428620,"letterContent":"I can't thank you enough for helping bring Magna-Tiles into our classroom! The moment my students saw the colorful tiles, their faces absolutely lit up. They immediately started building — towers, bridges, and even tiny \"cities\" that sparked so much creativity and teamwork. It was incredible to see students who don't always take the lead in class step up to design and problem-solve together.\r\n\r\nNow, the Magna-Tiles have become a favorite option for students who finish their assignments early. Instead of turning to computer games or sitting idle, they use this time to collaborate, create, and think critically. I've noticed how much calmer and more productive our classroom feels — students stay engaged and are proud to show off the structures they design.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, I plan to keep encouraging students to use the Magna-Tiles for creative problem-solving and teamwork challenges. They enjoy them so much that I'm already hoping to add even more sets to our collection so more students can build at once. It's been such a meaningful way to make every moment in class purposeful, and I'm so grateful for your support in helping my students stay curious, focused, and inspired.","fullyFundedDate":1758636507285,"projectUrl":"project/bring-stem-to-life-with-magna-tiles/9428620/","projectTitle":"Bring STEM to life with Magna-Tiles!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mayeaux-Carter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7927078_orig.jpg?crop=1536,1536,x0,y81&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741629742452","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7927078"},{"teacherId":7927078,"projectId":9152458,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous donation, our biology classroom is buzzing with excitement—we've officially received our egg incubator, and the learning has already taken flight!\r\n\r\nThe moment the incubator arrived, students were thrilled. Many gathered around just to get a closer look, asking, \"When do we get to put the eggs in?\" and \"Are we really going to hatch real chicks?\" Their enthusiasm was immediate and genuine. For many of them, this will be the first time witnessing the process of life beginning, and it's sparked curiosity and engagement in a way that textbooks simply can't.\r\n\r\nWe'll soon be placing fertilized eggs into the incubator, and each day students will monitor temperature, humidity, and growth progress. They'll be journaling their observations, candling the eggs to see development stages, and learning how each day brings us closer to hatch day. It's hands-on science at its best!\r\n\r\nAs the chicks develop, we'll be diving deeper into biology concepts like genetics, reproduction, animal behavior, and adaptation. The project will also expand into cross-curricular learning—writing reflections, presenting findings, and even applying math skills to track and graph data.\r\n\r\nYour support has already made a tremendous difference by helping turn an ordinary unit into an unforgettable experience.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our classroom and for helping bring science to life—literally!","fullyFundedDate":1747068622131,"projectUrl":"project/hatching-new-experiences-egg-incubator/9152458/","projectTitle":"Hatching New Experiences: Egg Incubator in the Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mayeaux-Carter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7927078_orig.jpg?crop=1536,1536,x0,y81&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741629742452","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7927078"},{"teacherId":7927078,"projectId":9350290,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous support of my DonorsChoose project. Because of your contributions, my high school biology students received much-needed supplies, including skin tone markers and other materials that have already made a meaningful difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nIn our recent units on human anatomy and genetics, we integrated art-based learning by having students illustrate themselves and others through the lens of biology — from drawing genetic traits to exploring human diversity. The addition of skin tone markers allowed my students to create inclusive, accurate, and empowering representations of people from all backgrounds.\r\n\r\nStudents were excited to see themselves reflected in the materials. For many of them, this was the first time they had access to supplies that matched their skin tones. The conversations that followed — about identity, biology, and representation — were powerful and inspiring. \r\n\r\nYour support goes far beyond school supplies.
