I let one of my sons take over my house payments, and moved out-of-state. I downsized tremendously and bought a trailer in Louisiana. I wanted warmer weather and no snow to shovel. It was all great in theory, but some bills are inevitable, and insurance is one. The high costs of hurricane, flood, and traditional insurance added to increasing cost-of-living expenses forced me back into full-time teaching. \r\nThe next monumental hurdle was re-inventing the resources required to provide an effective classroom.
