We use it every single day for morning meetings, read-alouds, mini-lessons, and small group discussions. One of my favorite moments was during our recent read-aloud lesson, when students gathered on the rug, eagerly raising their hands to share connections and ideas. Having a comfortable, defined space helps them focus, listen, and feel like they belong.\r\n\r\nWhen the rug was first revealed, my students' faces lit up with excitement! They immediately asked, \"Is this where we get to sit now?\" and rushed over to find their spots. They were so proud of their new classroom space and understood that it was something special given just for them. It instantly made our room feel more welcoming and calm.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our next steps include using the rug as a collaboration space as we continue working on reading comprehension, partner discussions, and science investigations. It has already helped build our classroom community, and it will continue to support meaningful conversations and learning throughout the year.
