The items that you helped fund allowed for over 100 students to host a school wide festival with different booths and decorate multiple altars as they learned about (and shared) this holiday in a vibrant lesson on cultural celebrations. The students in my Fine Arts class were able to make Marigold flowers from the tissue paper and staples. The Spanish classes were able to make Papel Picado from the colored paper we ordered. One of the most popular booths at our festival was the face painting stations where students could look like calaveras or skeletons! \r\nThe students were so excited about the supplies because it meant our festivities could be more colorful and exciting! Next year, we plan on making our festival for Day of the Dead even larger! We may even need to expand to our gym so that we have enough space next year.
