We talked about each item abd how it would be used. \r\nMy friends who love love to wiggle in their chairs absolutely love the rubber bands for them to bounce their legs. The putty had also been a popular one. Watching it change colors because of the temperature of their hands makes the fun last longer. \r\nThe peanut balls received has helped a autistic child with controlling big movements. Rolling and pushing himself back and fourth gives him heavy work. \r\nI plan to continue using the material when the next school year starts. Having these materials help students focus and lets them grow.","fullyFundedDate":1774203588491,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-seeking-lovers/9948735/","projectTitle":"Sensory Seeking Lovers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10218732_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768841040813","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10218732"},{"teacherId":10218732,"projectId":9643433,"letterContent":"When the children first saw the materials, their faces lit up immediately. The viewers felt special and exciting—almost like toys, but with a purpose. Many exclaimed \"I can see a spider or butterfly!\" Even students with shorter attention spans stayed engaged longer than usual, carefully observing and eagerly sharing their discoveries. I have a student who is non verbal and the scene viewers are his favorite. As we begin learning about insects in the spring we will use the insect specimen to enhance our learning. We will also use the viewers to identify different insects and spiders. My class and I are so thankful for these materials.","fullyFundedDate":1764600546825,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning-in-science/9643433/","projectTitle":"Hands-on Learning in Science","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10218732_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768841040813","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10218732"},{"teacherId":10218732,"projectId":9957611,"letterContent":"We are using the new instruments during our daily music and movement time as well as in small-group exploration centers. One favorite moment so far was when the children worked together to create a \"classroom band.\" Each student chose an instrument and practiced keeping a steady beat while we sang familiar songs. They learned to listen to one another, take turns, and play together as a group.\r\nTheir eyes lit up as soon as they saw the instruments, and they couldn't wait to explore the different sounds. Many students asked questions, tapped gently to test the instruments, and proudly shared which one was their favorite.\r\nNext, we will use the instruments to explore patterns, volume, and connecting music to early math and literacy skills. Students will practice playing loud and soft sounds, fast and slow beats, and matching rhythms. These experiences will continue to build their creativity, coordination, and confidence while making learning fun and engaging.","fullyFundedDate":1765980703426,"projectUrl":"project/beat-to-my-own-drum/9957611/","projectTitle":"Beat to My Own Drum","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10218732_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768841040813","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10218732"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_114669","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":86,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"US Census Data for the surrounding geographic area","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"Census ZCTA","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":70.6,"schoolId":114669,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Versailles-Woodford County Head Start on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Versailles-Woodford County Head Start","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kentucky/office-of-head-start/versailles-woodford-county-head-start/114669"}
