I teach high school students, and I'm often amazed at how they miss the 'little things' from elementary and middle school. When I designed this project, I knew that I wanted to offer small incentives that would reward students for their great effort in my advanced math courses, education course, and several extracurriculars that I sponsor. \r\n\r\nFunding my project allowed me to purchase laptop/water bottle stickers, CANDY, and a button maker. So far this year, I have been able to hand out stickers at Math Club meetings for their effort with math puzzles, I have given out stickers in my classes for excellent work ethic, and I have started making buttons to give for good effort on quizzes and tests. My students have loved these little recognitions! They have literally smiled bigger upon receiving a small prize -- we can all still appreciate the small things! \r\n\r\nI'm excited to expand my button making system. I've been using cheap reward stickers inside of the buttons, but I am going to start printing custom button images from Canva. I think I can make a series of 'unit mastery' buttons, so that students can show off their progress. I also think the button maker can be used for club fundraisers. The options are limitless! \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you SO MUCH for helping my students thrive!","fullyFundedDate":1749664241705,"projectUrl":"project/student-rewards-buttons-stickers-and/9313872/","projectTitle":"Student Rewards: Buttons, Stickers, and Candy Oh My!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hultman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10012348_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746284451938","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10012348"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_57848","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":605,"numTeachers":31,"percentFrplEligible":66,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":73,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"19.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":57848,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Murray High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Murray High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kentucky/murray-independent-school-district/murray-high-school/57848"}
