The have cushions and the nice carpet space to work. These three tables represent approximately 12-13 students from each class. There are clipboards and whiteboards at the floor to use or they bring the needed materials with them. \r\n\r\nThe rug and cushion seats not only add space but a whole vibe to the classroom. Each day students are trying to be the one who \"vacuums\" the carpet to help maintain our space. We have to rotate this job daily. It was such a sweet moment and all because you gave! We were doing a \"Book BBQ\" where students got to go around and \"sample\" different book genres. Yesterday, she read an entire paragraph to me in ENGLISH. These books make a difference! It's been so fun to see my kids check out all the new books. They love being the first reader of them! This is my first year teaching reading and my shelves were filled with K-2nd books. I really appreciate getting some of these higher level books in! \r\n\r\nI am so thankful for organizations like Donors Choose and people, like you, who give generously. I can't thank you enough. I spend roughly $600 a year in buying for my students. This helped me so much. Kids are great and just want to be loved and cared for! Having clean, new books on a shelf or rack is so inviting. Many don't have books at home.
