The new books have also helped me introduce students to authors, genres, and experiences they may not have encountered before.\r\n\r\nOne of the best parts of having new books is watching students get excited about reading. Students who may not normally choose to read are picking up books because the covers, topics, or characters catch their attention. Some students are excited to recommend books to their friends, while others have found a favorite genre or author they want to explore further. Seeing students search the shelves for their next book, talk about what they are reading, and come back asking when they can get the next one is exactly what a school library should be about.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made a real difference in giving my students access to books that feel current, relevant, and exciting.
