We received 15 copies of the book \"Better with Butter\" by Victoria Piontek. This book focuses on a main character, an elementary-aged student, who has severe anxiety. This student freezes when faced with a performance that her class must do in front of the school and nearly faints. Soon afterwards, she comes across a group of students who are taunting a baby fainting goat, making it faint for fun. The goat, which she names Butter, becomes her emotional support animal. \r\n\r\nThe character, Marvel, also has a dad who is deployed in the military. This allows students to connect with her on that topic as well. She is always worried her dad will have to leave again, which is something that all military families face. \r\n\r\nOur students LOVED this book. Many of them said that this was their favorite book this year, and that they cried at the more emotional moments of the book. Thank you for helping us show our students that emotional connection to a good book!
