My students have been provided with yummy snacks to help curb any appetites beyond lunch during the school day and the supplies have helped brighten the classroom even more. \r\nMy students were a combination of shocked, surprised, and grateful when I announced to them that there had been donations for the classroom. These are normally students that are either overlooked, or seen as \"bad\" kids. For donors to choose them, for something unrelated to the typical reasons has given them a boost of confidence and solidifies that they are valued as scholars and humans.\r\nThe snacks have been used but still about half remain for the rest of the school year.
