These new materials have added so much excitement and engagement to our room. My students light up the moment they see the STEM bins come out. It's been incredible watching them explore, build, and problem-solve in ways that feel fun and natural to them.\r\n\r\nSTEM Fridays have quickly become one of the most anticipated parts of our week. The students love getting hands-on with the building kits, blocks, and coding activities. For my group of learners, this kind of hands-on learning is exactly what keeps them motivated and focused. They can touch, move, test, and see results right away. It's learning through doing which is perfect for how my students think and process the world.","fullyFundedDate":1748150721011,"projectUrl":"project/stem-adventures-building-coding-and-l/9354565/","projectTitle":"STEM Adventures: Building, Coding, and Learning in My Autism Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Carroll","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9678653_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1730152750869","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9678653"},{"teacherId":9678653,"projectId":9354490,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our \"Harmonies for Neurodiverse Learners\" project. The students in my autism class have absolutely loved the new instruments, especially the mini drums and ukuleles. We use them mainly during Fun Friday, and it's quickly become something everyone looks forward to all week. As soon as I start bringing out the bins of instruments, the smiles start spreading across the room. They'll gather around, choose their favorite, and we end the week in the best way, together, happy, and making music.\r\n\r\nWhat I love most about these instruments is how they've helped my students communicate and connect with each other. For some of my kids, verbal language isn't easy, but when we do music, they find other ways to \"talk.\" They make eye contact, wait for a turn, or play a rhythm back and forth with a classmate. One student who rarely joins group activities now comes right over when the music starts and picks a drum. He smiles the whole time, and it's one of the few times he consistently engages in a shared activity with peers. Seeing those moments of connection and joy is exactly what I hoped for when I wrote this project.","fullyFundedDate":1748109093507,"projectUrl":"project/harmonies-for-neurodiverse-learners/9354490/","projectTitle":"Harmonies for Neurodiverse Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Carroll","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9678653_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1730152750869","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9678653"},{"teacherId":9678653,"projectId":9354399,"letterContent":"Our class has absolutely loved exploring weather and nature through our new sensory science materials!
