These music stands are much stronger than the flimsy wire music stands, and the students were so proud of performing with high-quality equipment. \r\n\r\nOur students are growing in confidence and building community awareness by sharing their music throughout the Kansas City Metro by performing in various community events. Our next public performance will be Veteran's Day, followed by a Winter Market event hosted by our local credit union. The new kiln shelves have made a wonderful difference by giving us a more reliable and efficient way to fire our students' pottery. \r\n\r\nThe new and improved tools have also opened up even more opportunities for students to stretch their creativity. They are able to experiment with different techniques, textures, shapes, and details as they bring their ideas to life in clay. Our new glazes have been especially exciting because students can explore color combinations and beautiful finishes that add the final touch to their pottery.\r\n\r\nSeeing students pull their finished pieces from the kiln is always a special moment. They are excited to see how their glaze choices and designs transformed during the firing process, and each piece is a unique reflection of their creativity and hard work.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our ceramics projects, students will be experimenting with new techniques, refining their skills, and creating pieces that challenge them to think like artists and problem-solvers.
