They have already made an impact. The students love being able to sharpen their crayons when they need to color something. It is used each and everyday and they are amazed that it works. We use this a lot when we are reading and need to create Wonder and Notice charts. These help the students see what we are learning and what other people feel about the book. My students were absolutely shocked and so excited to receive new Little Spot learning materials. The characters are their absolute favorites. We use these every single day within our learning. When we received the packages I had students help me open them up and their faces lit up with excitement. These materials continue to engage students and allow them to continue to work on their social emotional skills.\r\n\r\nBefore the end of the school year we did a really fun activity with the Little Spot plush characters and had a 'play'. Students would use the characters to act out different social scenarios and used the plushies to identify the different emotions as they were acting.
