The materials donated will be extremely beneficial for my students. I know that they need the opportunity to move and have choice in the classroom. Research shows the benefits of flexible seating. Students are more engaged when they are more comfortable in their classrooms. During my first year of teaching, I saw the need for flexible seating in our classroom EVERY DAY. My students craved choice and variety. I brought in a couple of small flexible seating options, but it wasn't enough for their need. First graders learn better when they are moving and that is why I want more options for my students.
