Your contributions allowed us to purchase items that were enjoyed by every grade at ACE!\r\nThis event was the first of its kind at Arbor Creek and it truly would not have been possible without your support.\r\n\r\nThe items for the ACE Otter Auction allowed the students an opportunity to practice a variety of essential life skills. Our students earn \"Creek Coins\" for demonstrating positive behaviors that align with our schoolwide expectations which they could then redeem for prizes at the Otter Store. The Creek Coins serve as a tangible reminder of the benefits of following the expectations. As the Auction took place in May, they had the opportunity to practice budgeting so they could see the benefits of saving up their earnings for greater rewards. Large Lego sets, LCD writing tablets, sunglasses, and sports equipment were among some of the prizes we were able to offer for our hard-working otters. The positive behavior helped create a more welcoming and enriching learning environment throughout our building as we wrapped our school year up.\r\n\r\nThis opportunity was a great way to finish the school year and show the students the culmination of their hard work and excellent behavior. We are hopeful to continue this event each year so the students can continue practicing their respectful and safe choices. With the addition of a sensory swing, bean bags, and a crash pad, students now have access to a safe and structured space where they can practice calming strategies, reduce stress, and re-engage in learning more successfully.
