Your support has already made a meaningful difference in our students' daily learning experiences, and we are incredibly grateful for your kindness and investment in early childhood education.\r\n\r\nThe new dry erase board has quickly become one of the most exciting and engaging resources in our classroom. We are using it every day for art exploration, hands-on learning activities, and interactive lessons that encourage creativity and participation. The board gives students a large space where they can freely draw, create shapes, practice writing, and explore colors and magnets in a fun and meaningful way. Because preschool students learn best through play and active involvement, this resource has helped make our classroom even more interactive and inviting.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the board their faces lit up with excitement, and many of them rushed over asking if they could draw or touch the magnets. Some students cheered, while others immediately started talking about what they wanted to create on the board. It instantly became a focal point in the classroom and sparked enthusiasm for learning from the very first moment. Even students who are sometimes shy or hesitant to participate became eager to join group activities when using the board.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and for supporting young learners. Your donation is helping create a positive and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive every day.","fullyFundedDate":1774963869996,"projectUrl":"project/artmagnet-exploration/10003364/","projectTitle":"Art/Magnet Exploration","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sarah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10400731"},{"teacherId":10400731,"projectId":10169949,"letterContent":"Thank You so much for your donation of books to our classroom. Our students have loved having new books to look at during book time throughout the day as well as having new books for read aloud. The has created a renewed interest in reading and books in our classroom. Anytime we tell the students that its book time they ask for our special new books. These books are greatly appreciated. Our students have time before outside time and before nap time to quietly look at books on their own as well as at least one book read aloud by a teacher. Our students love books but were starting to get bored with the same books over and over so your help in expanding our library has really renewed their interest in reading.","fullyFundedDate":1774963812212,"projectUrl":"project/we-love-books/10169949/","projectTitle":"We Love Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sarah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10400731"},{"teacherId":10400711,"projectId":10003174,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donation of toys and classroom materials. Because of your support, our classroom has become a more engaging and welcoming space where students feel excited to explore, create, and learn each day.\r\n\r\nThese materials do more than just fill shelves, they help children feel seen, valued, and understood. With a variety of resources that reflect different interests and needs, students are able to express themselves, build confidence, and connect with others in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nJust as importantly, these tools help us create a safe space where children can learn to regulate their emotions. Before any learning can truly take place, students need the opportunity to develop self regulation skills. The calming tools, sensory items, and engaging activities you've provided give students healthy ways to manage their feelings, refocus, and return to learning ready to succeed.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has helped foster a classroom community rooted in safety, inclusion, and growth. We gratefully appreciate your support with helping my students learn through play. We were so excited to add these materials into our learning environment. Every day my students work with these materials and love it. That is what preschool is all about... having fun and learning at the same time.\r\n My goal for this project was to provide materials that would encourage numeral and letter recognition. It has been amazing to see my students increase their awareness in these skills. I have finished spring assessments and everyone has increased their score. These activities naturally integrate early math, science, and language skills as children count seeds, observe plant changes, make predictions, and learn new vocabulary. The excitement peaks when children harvest ingredients and connect their garden work to meals—turning learning into a meaningful, real-world experience.\r\n\r\nIndoor seed starting and hydroponic growing using the grow tower and a mobile garden cart with grow lights provided consistent exposure to food-growing experiences regardless of season or weather. Children take pride in sharing their knowledge with family members, reinforcing learning and strengthening home–school connections. This increased family engagement supports healthier habits, environmental awareness, and a shared understanding of where food comes from.","fullyFundedDate":1770128978440,"projectUrl":"project/project-eagle-schoolyard-garden/10001903/","projectTitle":"Project Eagle Schoolyard Garden","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Felicia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10400516"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_134655","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":null,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":35,"percentWhite":17,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":false,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"US Census Data for the surrounding geographic area","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - Pre-K","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"Census ZCTA","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":87.5,"schoolId":134655,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Project EAGLE Head Start on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Project EAGLE Head Start","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/office-of-head-start/project-eagle-head-start/134655"}
