My students were able to choose a book they liked and brought them home. We set up our Mobile Literacy Cart afterwards and started using the books during the exam week. They used the books as their \"waiting time books\" when they finish earlier than their peers.\r\n\r\nMy class enjoys read aloud of interesting nonfiction books even when they are in the 4th and 5th grade already. We had read two books already from the Mobile Literacy Cart: The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind and Mexikid. I tried out strategies for them to expand their language learning, to collaborate more, to give voice to their thoughts, and to enjoy literature that they can connect to as they celebrate their uniqueness as a learner and as an individual.\r\n\r\nYour gift goes beyond books for my students, and we will create more meaningful learning using these books next school year.
