We've been using them to create colorful bulletin boards that brighten our hallway and make our school feel more welcoming.\r\n\r\nOne special moment was seeing students work together to create pieces that are now proudly displayed for everyone to see. They took ownership of their work and were excited to point out their creations to teachers, friends, and family members walking by.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement. They were eager to get started, and the variety of supplies encouraged creativity and participation from all students.\r\n\r\nNext, we plan to continue using these resources to create more collaborative displays that reflect our classroom learning and build a strong sense of community. These projects are helping students feel seen, included, and proud to be part of our school.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting our school and helping us create a space where every child feels like they belong!","fullyFundedDate":1770128973655,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-craft-materials/9968411/","projectTitle":"Classroom Craft Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Maryely","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10345304"},{"teacherId":10389427,"projectId":9968766,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our project, \"Supporting Learning, One Chair at a Time.\" Because of your generosity, our classroom has been truly transformed. The chairs we previously had were very small, which made it difficult for my students to sit comfortably and stay engaged during table activities. When the new yellow chairs arrived, the excitement in our Bees Room was immediate. The students were so happy and proud to have chairs that fit them, and they absolutely loved that the bright yellow matched our bee-themed classroom. It made them feel even more connected to our space.\r\nWe now use the chairs every day during small group instruction, meals, art, and hands-on learning activities. I've noticed such a big difference in how my students sit they are more alert, focused, and ready to participate. One of my favorite moments was watching them use the sensory sand to practice forming letters, then moving to their individual whiteboards to try writing on their own. Students who used to hesitate are now excited to participate and try new things. These resources have helped build their confidence, independence, and love for learning.","fullyFundedDate":1770128978286,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-learning-one-chair-at-a-time/9968766/","projectTitle":"Supporting Learning, One Chair at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lorena","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10389427"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_115091","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":76,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":24,"percentWhite":41,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":24,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":4,"gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":115091,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about El Centro Academy for Children on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"El Centro Academy for Children","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/kansas-department-of-education/el-centro/115091"}
