These boards have already made a tremendous difference in how our students learn and interact each day. First graders love coming to the board to share their ideas, solve problems, and write for their classmates to see. The space allows them to be active participants in lessons, making learning more engaging and exciting.\r\n\r\nThe large whiteboards also help with visibility and modeling. When teaching new skills in reading, writing, or math, the board provides a clear, shared space where all students can follow along. This has been especially helpful for our young learners who benefit from seeing concepts demonstrated in a big, bold way.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these boards have helped foster collaboration and community. Students gather at the board to work together, take turns, and celebrate each other's successes. Your donation is not just a tool for teaching—it has become a centerpiece for building confidence and encouraging teamwork in our classroom. We are so grateful for the positive impact you've made on our students' learning.","fullyFundedDate":1743515477849,"projectUrl":"project/help-our-classroom-shine-with-new-whiteb/9169343/","projectTitle":"Help Our Classroom Shine with New Whiteboards","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gaschen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9593697"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56876","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":276,"numTeachers":17,"percentFrplEligible":38,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":85,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"5 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"16.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":0.0,"schoolId":56876,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Jefferson West Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Jefferson West Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/jefferson-west-unified-school-district-340/jefferson-west-middle-school/56876"}
