The gap in funding was substantial, and we were concerned that competitions wouldn't be possible this year. By providing us with the necessary technology, equipment, and supplies, you have given our program a huge step up. By donating to our program, you have not only given us the supplies necessary to hold the program, but you have also allowed us to have equipment equal to other programs. I am looking forward to seeing the kids at competition and seeing how they do.\r\n\r\nWe have loved using the iPads, and they are used daily. They allow us to find virtual builds, take photos for engineering notebooks, and even see 3D models of robots. Additionally, these will allow us to code in the classroom and at competitions.\r\n\r\nRobotics is truly such an amazing program. Thank you for everything you did to help us build the program and allow the kids to thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1757859696268,"projectUrl":"project/6th-grade-robotics-needs/9703757/","projectTitle":"6th Grade Robotics Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hammack","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9966664_orig.png?crop=100,100,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757519429636","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9966664"},{"teacherId":8977652,"projectId":8997886,"letterContent":"I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your generous donation that helped provide ClassVR headsets for my classroom. Thanks to you, my students are experiencing learning in ways that were previously unimaginable.\r\n\r\nThe impact of these headsets has been truly transformative. My students have already enjoyed exploring virtual field trips and immersive labs, which has made learning more engaging and interactive. The ability to virtually visit distant places or explore concepts like never before has opened up new doors for their education. Just in the coming weeks, we will be using the headsets for a virtual frog dissection lab — a hands-on experience that will not only deepen their understanding of biology but also allow them to engage in a way that feels real and meaningful.\r\n\r\nThe opportunities these headsets provide are invaluable. They allow my students to explore things they might not otherwise have access to due to cost, location, or other limitations. This technology makes learning safer, more cost-effective, and most importantly, more accessible for every student in my classroom. You have given them the chance to experience the world in a new way, broadening their horizons and fueling their curiosity.\r\n\r\nI truly cannot thank you enough for your support. Your generosity has made a lasting difference in my students' lives, and I am excited to see how this will continue to inspire and enrich their learning journey.","fullyFundedDate":1736967236845,"projectUrl":"project/virtually-unlimited-bringing-vr-to-the/8997886/","projectTitle":"Virtually Unlimited - Bringing VR to the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mooney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8977652_orig.jpg?crop=4800,4800,x0,y400&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1735256153719","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8977652"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56519","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":158,"numTeachers":12,"percentFrplEligible":49,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":89,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"13.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":76.7,"schoolId":56519,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hoisington Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hoisington Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/hoisington-unified-school-district-431/hoisington-middle-school/56519"}
