A kidney shaped table is beneficial to the learning experience of the students. A kidney shaped table allows the teacher to have better small group instruction. It allows me to reach the needs of each individual student within the group. With a kidney shaped table, the teacher can sit in the middle and easily see what each student is doing. In this way, I can better lead multiple students at once through lessons, reviews and guided reading groups. A kidney shaped table also allows for up to 6 students to be seated comfortably. It allows each student easy access to work in a group as they collaborate to complete assignments.
