They were a HUGE hit! We used them recently to dissect owl pellets as we were learned about energy moving through the ecosystem. Students did some background reading about owls and what a pellet or casting is. We could have just stopped there, but we were able to extend this information with the microscopes!\r\n\r\n When students found out what type of organisms could be in the pellet, they were very engaged. As they used the microscopes, they were able to categorize the bones and try to match them to a specific organisms, most being voles. \r\n\r\n So many students told me this was their favorite day of science! Through your generosity, you were able to make science come to life! We can't wait to get them out again!
