Through a funded project, our class has been exploring the Sometimes I Feel Like the Weather trilogy series. We've been discussing how our feelings can be like the weather. Students were introduced to the characters—Iris (calm), Sunny (happy), Dew (sad), Gale (worried), Bolt (disappointed), and Twister (angry)—and what each one represents.\r\n\r\nSince our students go out into the community, it is a valuable skill to be able to regulate their emotions in all settings. We have also been focusing on understanding that feeling different emotions is okay—it's part of being human—but learning how to use coping skills helps us return to a calm, positive place.\r\n\r\nThank you again for funding my project! The book that was funded is part of the trilogy, making what I have a complete set.
