Their old math notebooks were filled with old notes from the first semester so it was a clean, fresh start after winter break. The students were excited to use the colored highlighters to make their notes colorful and the glue sticks to glue in example problems into their notebooks. \r\n\r\nThe notebooks and materials have also sparked excitement from the rest of my teaching team. Next year, another one of my coworkers wants to also incorporate interactive notebooks into her teaching so we are working on interactive notebook additions this summer such as guided notes, anchor charts, and structured example problems. \r\n\r\nI am excited to see how students continue to use their notebooks as a resource the rest of this year! I am also looking forward to how we are able to expand this project's reach into next year as we prepare for our next group of students.
