With a significant Hispanic population at my school, it is important for our library to offer them books in their native language to foster and support their love of reading. It is also important for them to be able to read the current popular books as their English-speaking peers, like Miss Quinces (in English) and Srta. Quinces (in Spanish) or Wonder (in English) and Wonder: La lección de August (in Spanish). \r\n\r\nSince the 18 books from this project were added to our library collection in March, there have been 18 check outs from the titles. That means almost all of the sponsored books have been checked out at least once and some were checked out multiple times. Doing a deeper dive into the data for our Spanish graphic novels, since the graphic novels from this project were added to the collection they made up all of the Spanish graphic novels checked out; none of our older Spanish graphic novels circulated after February.
