We plan to plant the seeds in March/April of this school year in order to have time for students to take their milkweed plants home. The goal is that in the Fall when students return to school, they will bring any monarch butterfly caterpillars their milkweed plants have attracted and we will watch them transform again into beautiful butterflies in the houses you have provided for us. \r\n\r\nWe started this school year with just one butterfly house, and because of you now have enough that we can put butterfly houses all around our school. This project was so transformational, that students in iJAG submitted it to a competition and are competing on March 4 to advance to nationals. Students have really connected watching butterflies transform to how they themselves can transform into powerful leaders and people despite their barriers.
