The majority of my students have not been to a preschool setting before stepping into my room. I want this space to be calm and inviting. Being a Montessori public school has its challenges but it's a nice space full of materials to engage all of our senses. \r\nWhen my students entered the space they wanted to explore the materials and feel them. Even past students stop by and say this looks so different and we didn't have these materials. We not only used it to problem solve some more abstract scenarios, we also got to use the I course tutorials to practice coding skills. One of our favorite moments was when one of our friends with different needs was able to record audio, and with some help of other students, program to robot to communicate with their other teacher. The students were very excited when I brought it in and were asking all day to start (despite the normal schedule).
