Puzzle Club gives students a structured and welcoming space to practice essential social skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and patience. As they work together to complete puzzles, they are learning how to share ideas, take turns, encourage one another, and celebrate success as a group.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, these moments are just as important as academic learning. Your kindness is helping build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging—one puzzle piece at a time.\r\n\r\nWe are truly grateful for your belief in our students and for investing in their social and emotional growth. Students are building skills in summarizing, analyzing plot and character development, identifying key details, and citing evidence to support their answers—all essential for competition prep. Beyond academics, they're learning how to collaborate, take notes strategically, and practice respectful debate as they discuss and quiz each other on the books.\r\n\r\nReading has become a team sport in the best way possible! During Battle of the Books time, students are reading both independently and in small groups, tracking important details, and preparing quiz questions for one another. Our classroom is filled with quiet focus during reading blocks, followed by energetic discussions as students review key scenes, compare books, and challenge each other's memory and comprehension. The books have truly transformed reading into an engaging, shared experience.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who weren't previously excited about reading have really stepped up in this program. One student told me it's the first time they've ever finished a book cover to cover—and they're already onto their second. Another student with a competitive streak has become a team leader, organizing study sessions and motivating peers. It's been incredible to see how the mix of diverse, high-interest titles and the spirit of competition has brought out enthusiasm, confidence, and a real love for reading.","fullyFundedDate":1746457561602,"projectUrl":"project/get-ready-for-the-ultimate-literary-show/9128337/","projectTitle":"Get Ready for the Ultimate Literary Showdown!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. DeKeyzer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9212219_orig.jpg?crop=3840,3840,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694025881885","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9212219"},{"teacherId":9164408,"projectId":9453476,"letterContent":"Oh my goodness I can not even thank you enough.
