The pencil sharpener is also a valuable addition to our classroom, ensuring that students have the tools they need to complete their writing and other classroom activities.\r\n\r\nOur first graders are excited to use these new materials during independent work, small groups, and writing practice. They have loved new books in the classroom and now have books that can be read to them more frequently in music and learn about new composers and new instruments. Some 5th graders even went on to play the cello as featured in one of the books that was donated. The books are not only fun to read but some of them sit around the classroom on a display for them to look at as they wait in line or have a couple extra minutes of class time. The Kindergarteners have named the puppets and just LOVE them. They giggle and engage so much when we use them and play with them. This school has a very high level of lower SEL students so having all the books and other interactive items really help them to want to engage in class and have access to music books than they otherwise would have.
