WE LOVE OUR PERSONAL \r\nDESK ORGANIZERS! My students each have a personal desk organizer to keep all supplies they need for math class each day. Students have access to their math folder, writing utensils, whiteboard materials, and various math resource items throughout time they spend in \r\nmath class each day. The best part about the organizers is that the students don't have to waste instructional minutes getting out of their seats. Everything they need to be successful in math class is within arms reach!\r\n\r\nMy students were excited to see a one stop shop of all classroom supplies they may need throughout a class period at their desk. My students are in a larger middle school and were reassured in the transition to multiple classrooms throughout the day. They only had to \r\nworry about bringing their personal computer, and all other supplies would be waiting for them at their desk each day!\r\n\r\nThank you again to the donors who made the transition for my 155 7th grade students to middle school a little bit easier this school year. With the donated items, we've been able to start meaningful conversations among students about empathy, kindness, and the importance of supporting others who may be facing difficult transitions. The bracelet-making kits, in particular, have allowed our club members to create thoughtful, handmade bracelets with uplifting phrases to give to children as they enter a foster home. Each bracelet serves as a small but powerful reminder that they are cared for, valued, and not alone.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the bracelet project, our club has prepared supplies for a hot chocolate stand that will help us raise even more awareness throughout the community and generate funds to support the foster home, especially as the holiday season approaches. These efforts not only provide comfort to children entering foster care but also teach our members the importance of giving back and showing compassion to others who are just like them. Without the kindness and generosity of our donors, none of this would be possible. Their contributions have allowed us to continue spreading hope and building a stronger, more caring community. We have only gotten started, but look forward to spreading kindness and compassion even more throughout the year.","fullyFundedDate":1754921536051,"projectUrl":"project/teaching-kids-compassion-and-empathy-thr/9445055/","projectTitle":"Teaching Kids Compassion and Empathy Through Projects & Crafts","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Westfall","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1995163_orig.jpg?crop=320,320,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751596465931","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1995163"},{"teacherId":4061346,"projectId":9245809,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations to our grant. They are learning about his job and what different options are out there for them beyond school. They love reading about real people!\r\n\r\nReading in my class looks like students discussing and comprehending what they have read in small groups using physical texts or reading via the internet. Students will read aloud or to themselves, use note taking skills while reading, and answering comprehension questions while also making various connections of text-to-text or text-to-self. With the current assignment we are working on, many students are making text-to-self connections because they enjoy watching the parade every Thanksgiving and they can appreciate everything that goes into the incredible production now that they have the schema.\r\n\r\nTheir love for learning continues to grow when making connections outside of our four walls.","fullyFundedDate":1725992534477,"projectUrl":"project/real-science-inspires/8632282/","projectTitle":"Real Science Inspires","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Manifold","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp533414_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1700271439723","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/533414"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_19104","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1331,"numTeachers":69,"percentFrplEligible":5,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":84,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"5 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"19.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":88.5,"schoolId":19104,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Zionsville Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Zionsville Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/indiana/zionsville-community-school-district/zionsville-middle-school/19104"}
