Receiving notification that support materials had been purchased by you was a complete surprise and I vowed to use them to infuse my students with a passion for learning. \r\n\r\nAlthough I have been teaching for over 25 years, I never plan the same way. I do use lessons and materials that have worked, but I seek the best instruction and ways to hook my students daily. The materials you provided have allowed me to teach new poetry-and I might add have students create their own anthologies of self-made poems coupled with published poems that adhere to their chosen themes. These notebooks are pictured. \r\n\r\nI have always wanted to have students make Valentine boxes! We did it this year with your resources. Students generated a theme, wrote an original poem and found a published poem that matched their universal messages. To keep my students' identities private I did not share their pictures, but I did add images of their finished products. I wish you could have seen them dive into this project. They used your stickers, but also scraps of napkins, old wrapping paper, and shoe boxes. It was a memorable project!
