We were able to do our Odyssey at the end of the first semester. We started with the original text so that students could get a feel for the reading and how the text was written. We then switched to graphic text. Students were begging to read from the graphic daily! They also were reading more of the text than what was assigned! \r\n\r\nThis particular type of text is hard to grasp for struggling readers; however, with it put in graphic form, similar to a comic book, students do not feel the same pressure, and they can understand what is happening by having the pictures.
