Thanks to you, the students are now able to practice sound to letter correspondence, alphabetical order, and CVC word spellings. The students loved being able to take the magnets off of the board and then practice putting them back on as quickly as possible. They didn't realize how much valuable practice they were getting with this activity! It also allowed for teachers to discuss the slight differences between letters like b, d, p, and q. \r\n\r\nYour donation impacts teachers as well as students. The magnetic letters are sturdy, store easily, and will last for years to come. Teachers are easily able to assess their students' understanding and adjust their instruction based on what the students are showing with the magnets. Students also helped organize the puzzles by size and the books by theme--they took their responsibility very seriously!\r\n\r\nWithin my special education classroom, we have 15-20 minute academic rotations and if students complete work early, they are now able to choose a book or puzzle to enjoy before the timer runs out! They are very motivated to complete work in order to earn a few minutes of independent time with your donated books & puzzles.
