Access to a good classroom library is fundamental in establishing healthy and productive reading habits. Students need to hold books, read books, and take care of them to truly understand the impact of reading. By having storage totes for their books each student will gain a sense of autonomy when it comes to reading. When students get to choose their own books and keep them safe and take responsibility for them, they are learning to care about books and care about reading. These totes will help us do so by giving each student a place to call his/her own personal library in a bag.
